Steve sat back and enjoyed the view as his bikini-clad wife wiggled through the small gap in the partially open patio doors and glided across the tiled terrace to the pool side. It was over twenty years since they'd tied the knot but she was as sexy as ever. He pushed his sunglasses onto the top of his head not wanting to dull the experience in any way.
The sun danced off the ripples of the water as his wife dipped her toe in the pool then stood, bronzed and toned, preparing to dive in. It was a perfect scene. The physical perfection of his wife with the architectural perfection of the house providing a fitting backdrop. Steve savoured every moment.
He watched, in anticipation, waiting for her to enter the pool. Longing for the moment she would re-emerge, droplets of water tracing down her perfect frame. It was certainly a sight worth waiting for. Steve edged forward.
The sound of her phone broke the tension. He would have to wait. She hurried across to the sun lounger and picked up her phone. Her face lit up when she saw the caller id and she sat down on the lounger, with her back to her husband, as she started the conversation in hushed tones.
Steve knew who it was. He'd known for a while who was putting a spring in his wife's step and a smile on her face. And today was the day he intended to do something about it.
He checked the contents of his bag; cable ties, chloroform, knife, and stepped silently out from the cover of the bushes. He'd lost her, and the house he'd sweated blood for. If he couldn't have them then nobody could.
